Blood Tests

Blood Tests

The Window to your health

It is not always obvious how your body is functioning. You can look ok on the outside but what about inside? The body is very good at covering up imbalances and ill-health, but the blood provides us with a library of important information. Regular Blood Tests are a highly efficient way to identify any potential irregularities early on so you can track your health trends and respond to changes quickly and effectively, keeping your body in homeostasis – a balanced state of health.

What is the difference between standard and
functional blood testing?

The standard approach uses average normal reference ranges, which indicate disease state, and often change from year to year based on average population changes. The normal value is based on statistics and not whether a value represents good health. Normal does not mean optimal.

The functional approach looks at optimal ranges and patterns to identify at a cellular and individual level the status of your wellbeing and indications of any future health issues you could be heading for.  This is a preventative approach.

Regular blood testing is essential for adopting a preventative approach to your wellbeing.

Natural Solutions To Future Health

Regular Blood Tests are a highly efficient way to identify any potential irregularities or imbalances within the body that could be causing any number of symptoms, such as lack of energy and fatigue, low immune, or loss of appetite.  The data they provide allows you to make informed decisions about your healthcare.

You will need to book an appointment at the Clinic or with a local Phlebotomist at a Clinic near you.  Please note all blood tests booked through us include the price of the blood draw.  You will incur a charge if booking through your local clinic or phlebotomist.

The appointment usually takes around 10 mins.

We will take a small amount of blood, from the underside of your arm, using a needle. You may feel a slight scratch as the needle goes in, which may be a bit uncomfortable. Your blood will then be collected in a small tube which will be sent to a lab for testing.

After the test, you’ll usually be given some cotton wool or a plaster to cover the area where the blood was taken.

You may get some bruising or swelling around the area where your blood was taken, but this should go away after a few days.

Regarding Blood tests this will depend on what you are being tested for.  You will be advised prior to the appointment.

Diagnostic home test kit will offer advice on the time it will take to get the results in the instruction booklet.

Before a blood test you will be given information about how to prepare before having the test.  You may be required to fast for 24hrs prior to the test being taken.
